Any action just may precede a non-recoverable freeze or outrght crash. Unfortunately, it also loves to crash randomly, and I do mean randomly. One can produce some truly amazing stuff with it, especially from the standpoint of atmospherics, terrain generation, the "ecosystem" capability, and materials. Vue 6 xStream as a stand alone is, to say the least, "eccentric" in its reliability. ![]() but IMO, Vue is, and always has been an incredibly flaky piece of software with a lot of potential.Īdam Benton | I have Vue 6xStream an C4Dv10. I will persevere, and hopefully an upcoming bug fix will help. I upgraded to XStream, and updated both 6.5 - the XStream connection so far has been unusable!! - I attempted to use it in a very minor way on a couple of recent jobs, and soon gave up since I could not risk the instability due to random crashes, and the risk of losing my C4D source file. Some of the crashes experienced on my G5 were so bad, they took the system down completely, forcing me to force restart the machine! - they have not been so often or severe on my Mac Pro. The crashes have been truly random, and knowing exactly what caused them seems impossible, but various bug fix updates seemed to have helped along the way. I started with Vue Infinite 6, and despite some horrendous random crashes, managed to achieve several finished print res illustrations.
